<h3>Stakers Union</h3><p>We are a collective of solo-stakers focused on preserving the health and decentralization of the Ethereum network.</p><p><br></p><h3>The Problem</h3><p>Incentives for solo-stakers are dwindling. Liquid staking and restaking protocols and their associated liquid tokens drive many away from solo-staking.</p><p><br></p><h3>The Solution</h3><p>We are building a collective of avid and passionate solo-stakers to support their activities by securing stable incentives from ecosystem participants.</p><p><br></p><h3>Current Progress</h3><p>We have defined <a href="https://docs.stakersunion.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">defined</a> a robust, multi-step verification process and have over 130 verified members. Our members and other interested participants are active in our Discord where we explore staking-related topics and <a href="https://vote.stakersunion.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">advocate</a> for solo-stakers.</p><p><br></p><h3>Upcoming Efforts</h3><p>The Stakers Union has made significant progress in 2024, including successful X/Twitter threads and the first in-person meetup at Devcon, with membership now at over 130 verified members. For 2025, the Stakers Union aims to clarify its mission, which focuses on supporting solo-stakers within Ethereum to maintain decentralization and network security, while seeking out-of-protocol incentives and actively participating in protocol development. Membership requirements are under review, particularly regarding bond amounts and DVT verification. Key objectives for the year include expanding membership, securing partnerships for rewards, integrating Gitcoin Passport to combat Sybil attacks, and applying for public goods funding.
